A MAJOR ECONOMIC BOOST FOR THE CITY AND ITS REGION

Foire de Marseille 2013The Foire Internationale de Marseille trade fair is the fourth largest public event in France after the Paris International Agricultural Show, the Paris Motor Show and the Foire de Paris trade fair, and its 89th edition will focus on creativity.  320,000 visitors and 1,400 exhibitors will generate turnover of almost €75 million during a week of activities, events and meetings.  This figure could reach €100 million of business for Marseille and the surrounding region if we take into account post-event transactions from contacts made at the fair.  Over 1000 artisans or SMEs will attend, giving them an exceptional opportunity to develop their business.

The 2013 fair is working hard to organise discussions between key players in the local economy, B-to-B meetings, and in particular, “business events”, making the fair an unmissable event for company directors and decision-makers. Monday 30 September will be hosted by Georges LEWI* and focus on future outlook and some innovative developments and current affairs issues, such as what type of economy, markets and professions will be required in the future?
