Marseille Capital of Sport

On 14 October 2014, Marseille was selected as 2017 European Capital of Sport thanks to the commitment and drive of the people of Marseille, clubs, volunteers, and both novice and professional athletes. Marseille now needs to give everything it’s got, bringing all sports enthusiasts together to make 2017 an incredible year of major events and sporting competitions.

This new European title let again demonstrates Marseille’s ability to come together around a common project and catapults Marseille once more into the top European cities.
