New Marseille-Toronto

Air Transat introduces weekly flights between Marseille and Toronto via Montreal

“With four flights a week already running between Marseille and Montreal, we would like to expand our offer to those living in France’s southern capital and the surrounding region. That is why it seemed important to extend one of our routes to Toronto,” explains Lydia Morinaux, Director of Air Transat France. This new destination is evidence of “the real and continuing attachment of the people of Marseille and Provence to Canada,” points out Pierre Regis, General Manager of Marseille Provence Airport. He explains that, “this new destination is a wonderful opportunity for the people of Marseille to discover another region of Canada via a direct flight. On the flip side, Torontonians will be able to discover the revitalised Marseille with new hotels, museums and a completely restored city centre that have been attracting an increasing number of tourists from around the world to the heart of Provence.”

Air Transat is Canada’s leading holiday travel airline. Every year, it carries some 3 million passengers to nearly 60 destinations in 25 countries aboard its fleet of Airbus wide-body jets. The company employs approximately 2,000 people. Air Transat is a business unit of Transat A.T. Inc., an integrated international tour operator with more than 60 destination countries that distributes products in over 50 countries.
